Ava DuVernay’s “When They See Us” has earned 16 Emmy nominations!! According to CNN: they are in the number for outstanding limited series, as well as outstanding lead actor in a limited series or movie for Jharrel Jerome, and outstanding lead actress in a limited series or movie nominations for Niecy Nash and Aunjanue Ellis. DuVernay is also receiving Emmy nods for directing and co-writing, alongside Michael Starrbury.
