10 Summers/Interscope RecordsMustard has officially debuted his Migos-assisted record “Pure Water,” after first teasing the effort last week.

The hypnotic single premiered on Wednesday as Zane Lowe’s World Record on Apple Music’s Beats 1.

During his sit-down with Lowe, Mustard revealed that the beat was always intended for the highly sought-after out Atlanta trio. He admitted that it wasn’t easy to get all three members in the studio, though.

“I was calling their phones everyday,” the 10 Summers label head recalled. “But at this point in my life it’s not about the ego. I don’t care how many times I have to call, because nobody’s going to look at you as the guy who called a million times if you deliver a hit.”

Last year proved to be monumental for Mustard: The first artist he signed to his label, Ella Mai, catapulted to the top of the charts with her breakout hit “Boo’d Up.” The single has earned the dynamic duo two Grammy nominations, for Song of the Year and Best R&B Song.
