No Timetable For Ja’s Return

• Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins says there’s no set timetable for Ja Morant’s return to the team.
• The superstar guard was suspended for at least two games after posting a livestream video holding a gun at a nightclub.
• Jenkins told reporters “this is going be an ongoing healing process. … It’s really not a timetable situation.”
• Morant issued an apology on Sunday, promising to “take some time away to get help and work on learning better methods of dealing with stress and my overall well-being.”
• How long do you expect Morant to be out?  Will he be back in time for the playoffs?

Lil Boosie..

• Although Skip Bayless questioned whether Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant is a member of the Crips gang, Boosie Badazz came to Morant’s defense.
• The rapper urged Bayless not to “paint a narrative” and said the basketball star “made a mistake.”
• Bayless questioned whether Morant is “about that life,” and Shannon, Bayless’ co-host on “Undisputed,” said Bayless could be right, but basketball has changed Morant’s life, and if he was associated, “he got out of that.”
• Boosie tweeted on Monday evening (March 6), “SMH HE [sic] NOT NO CRIP, HE [sic] A PROFESSIONAL BASKETBALL PLAYER who made a mistake”  
• The Grizzles suspended Morant for at least two games following the incident. Morant flashed a gun while in a nightclub and filmed it on Instagram Live. Do you think Ja Morant made a mistake, or is he associating with the wrong crowd?

• Plaxico Burress knows a thing or two about what can happen to your career after bringing a gun to a nightclub – so the former NFL wide receiver had some advice for Ja Morant.
• Appearing on Fox Sports’ The Carton Show, Burress warned Morant to “Make better decisions”, adding “He has the opportunity to be the face of the NBA.  He’s that great of a player.”
• Burress spent two years in prison after accidentally shooting himself in the leg with a handgun he brought into a New York nightclub – an incident that derailed his NFL career.
• Morant is currently serving an indefinite suspension after posting video displaying a gun inside a nightclub.

• Fat Joe has voiced his opinion over Ja Morant’s gun controversy and calls out Morant’s father because of it.
• Joey said, “Ja Morant always got his father there. Instead of his father enjoying the scene and getting drunk at the game, he better school his son.”
• He continued, “Bro, you did not come this far to f**k your s**t up. Your family has to really be your family and talk to you. I hope somebody gets him a copy of this because I don’t make money off Ja Morant. I’m just telling you the truth.”
• He added, “There’s two ways this could go: you could keep it real, which is the dumbest s**t I ever heard in my life, and go broke and get the f**k out the NBA because they’re not going for an NBA player pistol whipping dudes — they not going for that.”
