According to Forbes, Jay Z has just been declared Hip Hop’s first billionaire. That was a title Dr.Dre thought he held. Remember Dre announced that back in 2014 when he did the deal with Apple? I guess somebody, somewhere, blurred the lines.

here’s a breakdown of the value of his stakes in the empire he’s created:

— $310 million for Armand de Brignac champagne

— $220 mil in cash and investments, including a $70 million stake in Uber

— $100 mil for D’Usse cognac

— $100 mil for Tidal

— $75 mil for Roc Nation

— $75 mil for his music catalog

— $70 mil art collection

— $50 mil in real estate

Now, this doesn’t even include Beyonce’s money. As a couple, they’ve BEEN billionaires! I guess now my favorite rapper is also my favorite billionaire. I’m here for it!
