It’s not every day that a homeless person goes viral for singing Opera music in an LA subway; but that’s exactly what happened to Emily Zamourka. An LA police officer recorded the woman while she was singing and posted it to social media. The video spread quickly and now Grammy-nominated music producer Joel Diamond is offering her a recording contract.

Zamourka has not accepted the offer yet but she has secured some other opportunities. She’ll be performing Saturday night at an Italian heritage event in LA. There’s also a GoFundMe that has raised almost $48k to help her with getting back on her feet.

Law enforcement sources tell us people have reached out to simply buy Zamourka a new violin, but she’s declined. We’re told LAPD has put her in touch with its Homeless Outreach Team, as well. – TMZ
