Frazer Harrison/Getty Images for ABCAtlanta native Gladys Knight has been tapped to perform the national anthem at next month’s Super Bowl. 

She’ll sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” as part of the Super Bowl LIII pregame show at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Sunday, February 3.

“I am proud to use my voice to unite and represent our country in my hometown of Atlanta,” the Empress of Soul said in a statement. “The NFL recently announced their new social justice platform Inspire Change, and I am honored to be a part of its inaugural year.”

The Grammy-winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee joins the ranks of top stars who’ve sung the anthem in the past, including Whitney Houston, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Pink, Diana Ross, Luther Vandross, Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Cher, Natalie Cole, Aretha Franklin, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Hudson and more.

As previously reported, Maroon 5 and rappers Travis Scott and Big Boi will perform during the Super Bowl halftime show.
