Could a Drake and J. Cole collaboration possibly be in the works? Fans are convinced it’s happening, after the two rappers were spotted riding around Los Angeles together.

Saturday night, the duo set the Internet ablaze after Drizzy posted a video of himself enjoying a night drive alongside the “Pretty Little Fears” rapper. In the brief clip, posted to Drake’s Instagram story, Cole is seen behind the wheel of his luxe Rolls Royce Phantom.

“Who would have thunk it, huh?” the Toronto lyricist says. “In the ghosty, no casper, you hear me? Out here.”

Naturally, the joint joyride left fans speculating new music could be on the way. Many Dreamville and OVO loyalists took to social media to share their excitement.

“J Cole and Drake are riding around in LA together. 2019 is going to be a great year,” one Twitter user wrote. While others used a variety of gifs and memes to express their excitement.

Back in 2013, Drake and J. Cole connected on “Jodeci Freestyle,” which followed their 2010 effort “In The Morning.” But more recently, they’ve become competitors, with Cole’s KOD breaking the 24-hour record for most U.S. Spotify streams, besting Views‘ Apple Music record from that time span.
