The artist, born Elizabeth Harris, shared that she was “about to commit suicide” via Twitter, as well as on her Instagram account.

The comment quickly sparked an outpouring of love and support for CupcakKe, with many urging her to seek help. Notably, close collaborator Charli XCX penned an open letter to the “CPR” lyricist in which she refers to her as “one of the most unique, genuine, and loving people I have ever met in this industry.”

Iggy Azalea and Lizzo also sent the 21-year-old rapper uplifting messages.

While CupcakKe’s current whereabouts aren’t known, Chicago police have confirmed to E! News that, following the tweet, the police were able to track down her address, perform a wellness check on her and then take her to a local area hospital for an evaluation.
