ABC/Randy HolmesChris Brown is gearing up for the release of his ninth studio album, Indigo, by sharing a few details about the forthcoming effort with fans.

On the heels of the album’s lead single, “Undecided,” Brown took to Instagram to reveal that the project is centered in “energy, love, light and happiness.”

The Grammy-winning vocalist also promises the album won’t be nearly as long as 2017’s Heartbreak On a Full Moon, which consisted of a whopping 45 songs.

Brown also added that the LP is reminiscent of his earlier work. “Personally reminds me of my first album, [2009’s] GRAFFITI, AND [2011’s] F.A.M.E.,” the singer wrote. “Thanks to everyone who considers my music helpful!”

While Indigo‘s release date have yet to be announced, the LP will serve as the first project under Brown’s historic new deal with RCA. The recently inked partnership makes him one of the youngest artists ever to own any of his master recordings.
