The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced Sunday that it is recommending no gatherings of more than 50 people be held for the next eight weeks to combat the coronavirus pandemic. “[The CDC] recommends that for the next eight weeks, organizers (whether groups or individuals) cancel or postpone in-person events that consist of 50 people or more throughout the United States,” the CDC said in a statement. “This recommendation does not apply to the day to day operation of organizations such as schools, institutes of higher learning, or businesses.”
However, the recommendation would apply to weddings, funerals and other social gatherings.
